Sim2 High-Performance Video Projectors

Our journey to find a high performance projection line has been a long one. We have gone through countless evaluation of products from various manufactures but none could fill our requirements as well as Sim2. Our goals where foremost the highest video performance, in-house design/engineering/manufacturing, and scalable and wide range of products.

Unfortunately the volumes for mid- to high-end products is quite low, enticing many vendors to “OEM” units from other companies and either sell them as is under their own brand or do so after making small modifications to such things as packaging, cooling and such. Not having their own design and engineering means that the performance of the system is fixed and worse yet, the platform they are using may fall behind as the original manufacture advances their design and they cannot keep up.

Sim2, is one of the leading projector manufactures, focusing entirely on DLP technology. As you can see from this video tour of their factory, they indeed invest heavily in R&D and manufacturing of their own design:

Due to their heritage of being an Italian company, aesthetics of the product goes hand in hand with engineering. Their projectors are remarkably small for their light output and capabilities, often being half the size of competing solutions. This, combined with their beautiful design means that you are not always forced to hide the unit in ceiling and walls. Their quiet cooling means that noise is also not a reason for pushing the projector out of sight.

In our opinion, Sim2 is also the only company to provide a 3-D video presentation that is far freer from the eye strain and distortions that plague competing solutions. The Lumis 3-D Solo for example deploys the same “triple flash” technology used in theaters which until now, was not available in any consumer display. The faster display rate is made possible by use of DLP chips and fast response electronics designed by Sim2. The result is a brighter image that is free of flicker and crosstalk.

Words ultimately cannot describe the fidelity of these high performance projectors. So please come in and see the latest arrivals at our showroom. We currently have the Sim2 Lumis 3-D Solo driving our reference theater on a 17 foot screen. The projector has breathtaking 2-D performance and the best 3-D presentation of a home system. We also have the new Crystal projector with its bright image and great price/performance. Last but not least, we have the recently released Sim2 Nero projector which brings most of the performance of the Lumis 3-D Solo to a lower price point.
